The Bible is crucial for Christians in working out both our beliefs and our practices. Whilst every believer has the Spirit to help guide them, it can be very fruitful to share our own experiences and insight with others.
This is why we have the Bible Study groups. Each group has its own dynamic, shaped by those who attend. There are two evening study groups – one on Mondays, in the manse and the other on Thursdays in the Coffee Lounge. Both of these run from 7.30 – 9.00PM, led by Sarah, the minister. The third group is a day time group which meets on Fridays from 1.30 until 3PM. This is led by Rod, a member of the church leadership team.
We generally use a study book or materials from an online site, such as Spurgeon’s Childcare. Different groups have found different study books the most helpful, so hopefully across the year, each group will find one that really suits them, even if others do not. They have all provoked discussion.
All the groups are very happy to have new people join and join in!
