Today’s ‘Guest Writer’ is Janet, she reflects on and responds tothe opening line of our verses for this year (Daniel 6: 26-27)

‘For he is the living God and he endures for ever.’

What God’s Enduring Love means to me

Everlasting                                  Love

Never give up                             Outstretched hand

Divine, Deity                               Vibrant

Ultimate                                      Embodied in Jesus Christ

Rescues and saves

Grace

God endures in me

Life is like a long road for me

I journey on it every day

Not knowing some days where it will lead

It twists and bends – it curves

But rarely straight

I stumble, I fall, I run.

God picks me up when I fall

Holds out a hand to steady me when I stumble

And cheers me on when I run.

His strength is my endurance or the other way

And I can carry on the journey of life

With God’s hand to guide me

And my faith in his endurance and strength

I will receive God’s promise at the end.

God endures me

His grace and mercy are free

My strength come to me every day

From the lord God to whom I pray

No burden too much for him

He gives me all I can bare

And when I’ve had enough, he takes his share

To help me cope when he listens to my prayer

For forgiveness I ask and he knows when I despair

He’s with me in my lonely hours

As I wait for normal days

He endures my selfish tantrums

Gives me strength to endure and carry on

I know God gives me endurance to see me through

I have my garden and my tree to focus on

My tree still stands firm and so do I.                 Amen

Emojis Parable

The LiveLent phone-app gives a daily ‘Family Activity’ and on Tuesday the activity was to tell the parable of ‘The Banquet’ using emojis, but you could try this with any of this week’s bible readings. If you send me your ‘emoji parable’ I will publish it.
